AHORRO Y EFICIENCIA ENERGÉTICA EN HORNOS Y SECADEROS TÚNEL E INTERMITENTES
La aplicación del Sistema OPTIMA® en hornos túnel o intermitentes de la industria de la Cerámica sanitaria o vajilla resulta de gran utilidad.
La implantación de los analizadores OPTIMA® en estos hornos se realiza de tal modo que queden controladas todas las zonas del horno con el fin de ajustar la regulación en las distintas rampas o segmentos del proceso de cocción (precalentamiento, cocción y enfriamiento). Del mismo modo, es importante asegurar el correcto reparto de flujo de gases en cada sección del horno para garantizar la homogeneidad de la atmósfera. De ahí que se mida en distintos puntos (pared lateral y/o en bóveda).
En este tipo de hornos donde se cuecen productos de elevada calidad, el análisis del %O2, la temperatura y la presión en diferentes zonas aporta las siguientes mejoras:
Mejoras energéticas: Se puede reducir el porcentaje de oxígeno en rangos del 1% al 2% lo que implica ahorros estándar de 4% – 6% de combustible.
Mejoras de calidad: Garantizar una oxidación suficiente de la materia orgánica que asegure la inexistencia de defectos de calidad como el corazón negro o cambios de tonos que impidan obtener niveles aceptables de repetitividad.
Mejoras ambientales: Reducción importante de los niveles de emisiones de CO con atmósferas reductoras, así como de CO2 en caso de atmósferas oxidantes.

En una planta de cerámica sanitaria o porcelana, el secadero es generalmente (con permiso del atomizador) la segunda fuente de mayor consumo energético.
Los resultados que se pueden obtener regulando los distintos parámetros del secadero en función de la humedad relativa, la temperatura y la presión de los gases de combustión son inmediatos.
Cada zona del secadero requiere de una “atmósfera secante” diferente, lo cual exige un control exhaustivo del aire de recirculación y de expulsión mediante la humedad y temperatura en toda la zona de quemadores.
Este control, garantiza tanto el rendimiento global del proceso de secado, como un adecuado nivel de calidad de las piezas al asegurar una eliminación de la humedad correcta y progresiva. Niveles reducidos de humedad a la entrada del secadero pueden provocar una extracción de calor innecesario favoreciendo un consumo excesivo y la aparición de grietas en las piezas.
Del mismo modo el control de la temperatura a la salida del secadero permite conocer y uniformar las condiciones de trabajo en cada uno de los pisos del secadero.
El control de la atmósfera secante dota de una mayor estabilidad al proceso de secado y a la adecuada eliminación de la humedad de las piezas. Al asegurar una humedad constante en cada zona, las piezas no sufren fuertes variaciones de secado ante la existencia de huecos en el secadero.
